WhatsApp is an application that was created ten years ago to completely change the game. Through the app, you can send messages, pictures, videos, documents, and even links to online sites. Since it provides a very efficient, reliable, and fun way to communicate, it has gained major popularity in its short lifespan. Boasting up to 1 billion downloads on Android’s Play store, the application has truly been a success. For those who want to ditch Android and switch to the new iPhone, transferring WhatsApp from Android to iPhone has however proved to be a problem. Reason: WhatsApp does not support cross-platform backup and restore.
This post will cover:
To transfer your WhatsApp chats and media to iPhone from Android, go to WhatsApp on your Android device > tap the ‘Three Dot’ (More Options) at the top-left corner > Tap the Settings button and then go to Chat > Chat history.
In the present screen, there will be an Export chat option. Tap it. You can then select the individual chat or group chat you want to transfer.
Tap and choose whether to WITHOUT MEDIA or INCLUDE MEDIA.
Then you can select Email or Gmail from the popup expanded menu.
Note: Due to maximum email size, you can send up to 10,000 latest WhatsApp messages when you select INCLUDE MEDIA and send 40000 WhatsApp messages when selecting WITHOUT MEDIA.
There will be a prompt for you to insert your email address, make sure that the address is active and you remember the password.
Finally, open your email on your iPhone you will have access to all your transferred conversations. If it does not show, you might have skipped a step. Carefully read the procedure and you will succeed soon enough.
By exporting a copy of the history of an individual chat or group via email, you can only access your WhatsApp chats history on iPhone. But you cannot sync the WhatsApp messages to your WhatsApp account on iPhone. And you will have to repeat the procedure above again and again if you got many individual or group chat to transfer.

The discovery of backup technology was a real lifesaver in many instances. WhatsApp has a backup feature that enables you to backup and restore all your WhatsApp chats with Google drive. Google drive was developed by Google to offer customers a sort of cloud memory that can be accessed on multiple devices at a go.
If by any chance your phone gets spoilt of lost and you get a new one, you can still get all your chats along with photos or anything else you would like to store there. This happens for all android phones.
However. For iPhones it’s different, meaning the backup idea will have failed us. Since Android and iOS are not cross-compatible. You can’t restore those chats from the Google drive and retrieve anything you had saved there.
Instead, iPhone backs things up on the iCloud. We all know how Apple is strict about security so there is no way they give android access to the iCloud as well. Most people try this method again and again but never understand why it fails every time. Now you know!

There is however another way to succeed in this endeavor. Technology is exciting because it is always moving forward, always improving. Some Tech gurus somewhere in the world saw this problem and fixed it with the use of software they developed.
iCareFone for WhatsApp Transfer is the name.
Once it is done, your conversations will be visible on your iPhone, simple!
This is quite a technical option but if you follow the instructions, you will achieve your goal.
In the technology industry, very few things don’t have a fix. The internet is man-made and hence can be twisted to our will. If I wanted a new type of Facebook, if I really did, creating it would be tasking but very possible. Such is the beauty of the modern age, nothing is impossible. Take for example how to transfer WhatsApp from Android to iPhone looked impossible at the beginning of this article.
