New cell phones come out every day and we try to keep up and enjoy the technology. Nowadays there is not only a race of design, speed or any other feature, but also a race of price compared to performance. If you’ve grown tired of the Windows Phone and choose the new iPhone as your new favorite, you may find that transferring data, especially contacts from one system to the other complicates things a little bit, taking in consideration that not all platforms are the same and this fact makes our data transfer difficult. However, there are a few hacks that you can follow to make the process of transferring contacts from windows phone to iPhone easier.
Transfer contacts from windows phone to iPhone
As mentioned above, you do not have to go through a lot of trouble when you want to transfer contacts from windows phone to iPhone. There are two major options for you to easily transfer your data and files and they are explained below:
The first option involves following a series of steps that are explained below:
Sync the Contacts on Your Windows Phone to Your Microsoft Account
Many people have already done this even when they do not need to switch phones. However, if you have not, then this is the first step for you. To sync the contacts into the Microsoft account, go to your windows phone and open the app People and then tap the settings button. When the settings tab opens, scroll down until you find an option ’accounts’’ and select it. Then choose the option to add an account and choose the Microsoft account in the option that will be provided for you, and enter your email and password details.
Once you have signed in using your password and email address, the contacts in your windows phone will automatically be pushed to the new Microsoft account you have created. Go to your PC, open a window in your browser and navigate to login.live.com where you will once again sign in to your Microsoft account using your password and email address.
When you get in, navigate ’people’ and you will find all your contacts in the address, then click on the tiny box next to the icon Your Contacts and select all of them at once.
Select on the option ’manage’’ and a CSV file with all the contacts will be copied to a folder of your choosing.
Since the CSV file is in your PC, download the app – CopyTrans Contacts and install it in your PC.
Run the program and connect your iPhone to the PC and select the option to import contacts. A pop up will appear and you will select the option ’from a file’’ then open the folder in which you had saved the CSV file and click ’open and the transfer will be complete.
The other way to transfer contacts to iPhone from Windows Phone is by using Switch Mobile Transfer. This is an app that is used to transfer data, photos, and documents between iPhone and Windows Phone. It is not important which Windows Phone you have, Lumia, HTC 8XT, HP Elite neither which iPhone model you are using, including iPhone X/8 /8plus/7/7plus/6s/plus, etc.. You can transfer all the data and information you like with only one click from the windows phone to the iPhone.
