One of most frustrating aspect of changing phones, inarguably the retention and transfer of data (contacts, images and other files). The mechanism of transferring data from your old flip phone to a new smartphone (Android device in this case) may pose technical challenges initially, but with a little bit of learning and prognosis, one can easily migrate the data from his or her flip phone to the Android mobile device.
One of the most convenient methods of transferring the embedded mobile database from one phone to the other is the sim or uim card. This method works the best when both the phones supports the same sim card.

Step 1. Install Switch Mobile Transfer on your computer.
Step 2. Link your Flip Phone to your Computer via the USB port
Step 3. Highlight the contacts on the Flip phone and select Copy on the phone.
Step 4. Once the transfer is completed click OK.

Step 1. Turn on Bluetooth option on both the devices (Flip phone and the Android).
Step 2. Select the Motorola Migrate (Lollipop) option on your flip phone to transfer contacts.
Step 1. Lodge the MicroSD card (with vCard files or .vcf files) of your flip phone into your Android device.
Step 2. Go to Contacts tab.
Step 3. Select the Menu option, Run down to More option and then hit the Import/Export key.
Step 4. Select and press the Import from SD card option.
Step 5. Choose the storage type as soon as the Dialog box appears.
Step 6. Select the desired account you want to switch to contacts from. (In case of more than one account).
Step 7. Select the Contacts, Press the Import and OK options to import the data to the Android phone.
Step 1. Launch Gmail on your computer.
Step 2. Open your Gmail account by signing onto it.
Step 3. Point your cursor to the Top left of the Gmail Account to select Contacts from the drop-down menu.
Step 4. Go to the Import option under contacts
Step 5. Select the .csv file or vCard file from the import section
Step 6. Go to the Old contacts (Old Google Contacts)
Step 7. Select Import option from the menu.
Step 8. Click on Choose File.
Step 9. Identify the desired CSV or vCard file you wish to import contacts from.
Step 10. Select Import option and click OK.
Step 11. Preview the entire list of contacts in the Gmail Contact section by refreshing the browser.
