Step 1 Download and install Android Data Recovery on your computer.

Step 2 Connect your Android Tablet to a computer via USB cable.

Step 3 Allow for USB Debugging.

Turn on your Android Tablet and press the button to allow for USB debugging.

For Android 2.3 or earlier versions: Enter “Settings” > “Applications” > “Development” > “USB debugging”.

For Android 3.0 - 4.1 versions: Enter “Settings” > “Developer options” > “USB debugging”.

For Android 4.2 or later versions:

①Enter “Settings” > “About tablet” > “Build number”.

②Tap “Build number” for seven times until you see the message of “You are under developer mode”/ “You are now a developer”.

③ Return to “Settings” > “Developer options” > “USB Debugging”, and tap the USB Debugging checkbox.

For Android 5.0 Lollipop: The way to enable USB Debugging on Android 5.0 Lollipop is the same as Android 4.2 or later version.

⚠ Note: USB Debugging should be enabled when you need it; otherwise, leaving it enabled all the time can bring risk to your device. Therefore, you are advised to disable USB Debugging when you don’t need it.

Step 4 Select the files that you want to recover.

When your tablet is connected to the computer successfully, you are supposed to tick the file types you want to recover and then click the “Next” button.

Step 5 Give privilege of scanning files on your tablet to the program.

In this step, Android Data Recovery will scan and check relevant information on your tablet.
