- They have piled up so many bookmarks and histories on their computer or smartphone over the years and they haven’t had the time to clean it up which made their gadgets run slow.
- They have accidentally imported their Chrome history towards their Safari browsers or it could be the other way around.
- They have been visiting adult sites and they are ashamed that their search histories/bookmarks might be seen by someone who uses the same computer they use.

How to remove search histories from Chrome.
My classmate once asked me, “How to remove my search from [Google] Chrome?” He’s a guy and his peers tried to visit a porn site using the school computer. That was hilarious by the way. They forgot that our teacher would know what they were doing by visiting their browsing histories and at that time, they still don’t know how to delete bookmarks/history yet.
Here’s how you can delete your search history on Google Chrome on computer.
- Click the customize button > history or just press “Ctrl+H” to go into the list of your search history.
- Your recent pages visited will show up and you can choose one by one the pages/links you wish to delete. Click each empty box and it will be marked as “checked” to selectively delete each history.
- And to massively delete all of your browsing histories and bookmarks from Google Chrome, click the main menu button on the upper left side of the screen with a symbol like this. Then choose, “Clear browsing data”, it will direct you to another tab and will show you what exactly you want to clear. Mark as checked these buttons to entirely delete your browsing data – browsing history, cookies and other site data, & cached images and files. Then, click the blue button at the bottom that says “CLEAR BROWSING DATA”.
If you accidentally deleted a history you never wished to remove. Here’s how to see deleted history in Chrome and recover it.
