If you are a little bit workaholic who spend a lot of time communicating with your customers, or a people who is caring and like to share, backing up contacts seems very important. Especially when you switch to a new cell phone but don’t know how to sync Contacts. Or your phone felt into the water accidentally and lost almost all the data. Or even worse, your phone got stolen or lost and can’t find it anymore.
In this guide, I will show you how to back up phone number on iPhone and Android phone respectively. Thus, if anything bad happen to your iPhone or Android Phone, you can restore your contact numbers from the backup file.

In the newest version, iOS Data Recovery provides an advanced iOS Data Backup & Restore function, which can help you to back up contacts on your device to the computer. I also got my contacts backed up in this way. Now let’s try it.
Step 1 Run iOS Data Recovery
Free download iOS Data Recovery on PC and open the program, you’ll see the interface as below. Click the iOS Data Backup & Restore option.
Step 2 Connect iPhone to PC.
Connect your iOS device to your computer with a USB cable, and then select the iOS data Backup option.
Step 3 Select and Back up Contacts from iPhone to PC.
Click Start option, and then select Contacts after your iPhone being detected by the program automatically.
Click Next option, choose an output path to store the files and click Backup button.
Constant Network connections should be assured during the process.
Step 1 Open Settings on iPhone, then tap your ID and iCloud.
Step 2 Turn the option Contacts ON, scroll down and tap iCloud backup.
Step 3 Toggle iCloud backup and Back Up Now to start backing up manually.
Also, if your iPhone is connected to a power source and to a Wi-Fi network, lock the screen, then the contacts along with other data will be backed up automatically.
Android Data Backup & Restore is an amazing Android data backup tool. It helps a lot while backing up data as well as restoring contacts and notes.
Step 1 Install the program.
It will open automatically after finishing installing, and then click Android Data Backup & Restore.
Step 2 Connect Android device to PC.
Plug your Android device into the computer by enabling USB debugging modes and then tap OK as below.
Step 3 Choose to back up or restore.
To backup all data on your phone, click One-click Backup. In this case, you can click Device Data Backup to backup contacts selectively.
Step 4 Backup Contacts.
There will be a display of data type in the table. You can check the ones you want to backup and click Start.
Step 5 Store your backup files.
Choose output path and click OK to confirm.
Then it begins to back up the contents you chose, during the process, do not disconnect your Android phone with the computer.
Step 1 Move Contacts to Google
Open the contact app on your phone, click the menu button and select Move device contacts to as below. In the next screen, choose Google > OK.
Step 2 Check Contacts backup.
Sign in to your Google account on PC. You can see your contact backup there.
